Mayans M.C. Season 3 was renewed just a day before the finale of season two. The show is a spinoff series of “Sons of Anarchy”. The show is also one of the FX network’s highest-rated shows.
The series is an American crime drama that debuted on 4th September 2018 on FX.  Kurt Sutter and Elgin James are the creators of the show. The second series premiered on 3rd September 2019. The show’s renewal for a third season came while season 2 was still airing.
The Release Date of “Mayans M.C. Season 3”
Season 3 of the show was to release in fall 2020. But because of the current scenario, the schedule might just get postponed. New episodes of the season are yet to be filmed. Although everyone is eager to get back to work, due to the pandemic and the guidelines, it is hard to say when the filming and production will resume. Chances are that the release of the series might get pushed farther, maybe to 2021.
The Plot of the Show
The series takes place four years after the “Sons of Anarchy”. It takes place in the fictional California border town of Santo Padre. The series follows the struggles of Ezekiel Reyes. He is a prospect in the charter of the Mayans Motorcycle Club based on the U.S.–Mexico border. Reyes is the gifted son of a proud Mexican family. Cartel violence killed his American dreams. And presently his need for vengeance drives him toward a life he never intended and can never escape.
The Cast of the Show
We are not sure of the cast of the third season yet but we are expecting that most of the cast members from previous seasons will return. The cast includes
- J. D. Pardo as Ezekiel Reyes,
- Sarah Bolger as Emily Thomas
- Michael Irby as Obispo Losa
- Carla Baratta as Adelita
- Richard Cabral as Johnny Cruz
- Raoul Trujillo as Che Romero
- Antonio Jaramillo as Michael Ariza
- Danny Pino as Miguel Galindo
- Edward James Olmos as Felipe Reyes
- Emilio Rivera as Marcus Alvarez among others.
Co-creator Kurt Sutter the co-creator of the show, will not be involved in the third season. He was also the creator of “Sons Of Anarchy”.
Kurt was fired from the show because of the numerous complaints about his unprofessional and abrasive behavior on the set. Elgin James, co-creator of Sutter who created the show with him will take over. After the incident, Kurt sent a letter to his crew and cast in which he explained the situation and apologized.
