The American action comedy-drama TV series is coming back with Cobra Kai Season 3. The series base itself on the movie The Karate Kid. The series first came out on May 2, 2018, and it airs on YouTube. This show is set 34 years after the original movie. Besides, it reopens the rivalry between the stars and the masters and also re-examines the narrative. The second season coming out on April 24, 2019, also releases on YouTube. Cobra Kai Season 3 Release Date
The official Twitter account of the show confirms that season 3 is not releasing before 2021. However, fans were expecting the show to release by 2020. This is because it has been several months since the filming wraps up. However, several productions are re-entering Netflix. So probably the streaming giant needs to fill in some gaps with everything lined up for 2021.
However, there is no exact date from Netflix or Jon Hurwitz, the co-creator. But Josh Herald, the other co-creator confirms that the show wraps up in Septemeber 2019. It is all ready to go. In an interview, he says, “Thankfully, we wrapped the end of season 3 before the end of 2019. We also wrapped up post-production”. So all we can do is wait for the show to be finally out on Netflix.
Cast
We will definitely see the cast members from the previous seasons’ return. This includes Ralph Macchio coming back as Daniel LaRusso, William Zabka will return as Johhny Lawrence. Xolo Mariduena will also return as Miguel. Since season 3 leaves some loose threads, we can also expect some old friends to reappear.
