The Morning Show Season 2 is going to get good. We already know it. The first season on Apple TV+ premiered on November 1, 2019. It is based on Brian Steller’s book named ‘Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV‘. The show garnered a rating of 8.4 on IMDb. The show is quite unpredictable and enigmatic. Prahlad Srihari of Firstpost described the show as such. “The script has Aaron Sorkin’s punchy rhythm and Amy Sherman-Palladino’s melodramatic styling.”
The show revolves around anchor Alex Levy who hosts The Morning Show. It has excellent viewership ratings and has changed the face of American TV. When her co-worker Mitch Kessler is fired when on account of sexual harassment allegations, she starts struggling as well. She is faced with a rival Bradley Jackson, who is facing a new world in TV journalism.
Who will star in the Morning Show Season 2?
The cast in the second season will follow the same actors. Actors who are finalized are Jennifer Aniston in the role of Alex levy, Reese Witherspoon in the role of Bradley Jackson, and Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison. However, whether Steve Carell will return in his role of Mitch Kessler is still unsure. Executive producer Kerry Ehrin told THR, “We would like him to be back in season 2. It’s in the works, but it’s not a done deal yet.”
The plot updates
The second season will pick up where the first season left off. Reese Witherspoon said, “It’s chaos. No one knows who is in charge and what leadership means at this point.” The Morning Show season 2 will have a bigger focus on Alex and Bradley’s relationship. the EC of the show said that they have had some breaks between them, however, as individuals, they don’t know each other yet, so in this season, we will see more of their bond.
The Morning Show season 2 will also expand its reigns further. The first season covered the Me Too Movement, so maybe in the second season, we will see current issues like Black Lives Matter, the pandemic, and elections. However, there is no clarity in that. We will go by Aniston’s word where she told Deadline, “Season 2, it’s getting so good.”

When will The Morning Show Season 2 release?
Apple renewed the show for a second season only after a week of its debut. The original plan was to film in the summer and release it in November 2020. However, due to the pandemic hiatus, the plans went down the drain. The show has not yet gone back to the production. So, talking about the release date is kind of not viable.
However, we are also excited about the fact that this second season will offer more of drama, truth, and transitions which we love, oh so, dearly!
(P.S. Congratulations to all the eight Emmy Nominated Actors.)
