Shadow and Bone is Netflix’s newest project that is coming soon on the platform. The series is under the development of Eric Heisserer and also, 21 Laps Entertainment. The series is based on the same name and also Six of Crows by the very accomplished writer Leigh Bardugo. The series shooting began way back before the onset of the pandemic and hence, most of the scenes have already been shot up. Of course, the onset of the Covid-19 must have caused unwanted delays. The audience is very excited for the series and we hope that Eric Heisserer has worked his magic during the making of the series.
What About The Release Date Of The Show?
It was in January 2019 that the announcement for the production of Shadow and Bone was out. Netflix gave heads up for the production of an eight-episode series that would feature Eric Heisserer as the showrunner, creator, head writer, and executive producer. The shooting of the series began way back in the month of October of the year 2019. The shooting continued till the month of February of the year 2020. Thereafter, it went into post-production, and then, it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Leigh Bardugo is also an executive producer of the show. During an interview in November 2019 with the SensaCine, Bardugo made it clear that the series would come out in late 2020. This means we could soon be looking at the release of the series. The exact release date of the show is still a surprise for us but, we can hope that we will see the release of soon.
What About The Cast Of Shadow And Bone?
The casting of Shadow and Bone began in the month of April 2019. On 2nd October 2019, an announcement concluding that the series will feature Lee Toland Krieger as the director of the show. The series, “brings together the stories and characters of both Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows, two overlapping series that take place in Bardugo’s Grishaverse. In a world cleaved in two by a massive barrier of perpetual darkness, the Shadow Fold, where unnatural creatures feast on human flesh, a young soldier uncovers a power that might finally unite her country.”
This is the plot as the showrunners claim. The show is very much anticipated by the audience. We hope to see the show come out soon. The cast of the show would include :
