Family Guy Season 19 is all set to hit Fox channel this year.  The show’s 18th season concluded on 17th May 2020, and the production of Season 19 had started even before Fox announced the show’s comeback.

the animated sitcom boasts of the being the longest-running sitcom on the Fox network. the show debuted on 31st January 1999. Despite getting compared to “The Simpsons”, the show has managed to garner a huge fan base. Seth MacFarlane is the creator of the series. The series is one of the globally acclaimed shows. It has also won three Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Annie Awards. The series was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. It created history for being the first animated series to be nominated for the award since “The Flintstones” in the year 1961.

The Release Date of “Family Guy Season 19”

Family Guy Season 18 premiered on 29th September 2019 and concluded on 17th  May 2020. On 11th May 2020 FOX unveiled season 19’s Fall 2020 schedule. Fox was the first broadcast network to announce its planned, upcoming titles for the year, in spite of the  COVID-19 pandemic’s hold.

The 19th season is all set to premiere on 27th September 2020 on Fox network. The season will resume with the 350th episode.

The Plot of the Show

The show chronicles the adventures of the Griffin family. The family consists of parents Peter and Lois, their children, Meg, Chris, and Stewie, and their anthropomorphic pet dog, Brian. The show takes place in the fictional city of Quahog in Rhode Island. The show exhibits its surreal and dark humor in the form of metafictional cutaway gags that often criticizes American culture.

The Cast of the Show

On 26th June 2020, voice cast member, Mike Henry announced that he will no longer voice the African American character, Cleveland Brown. He quit following Jenny Slate and Kristen Bell’s announcement that they will no longer voice mixed-race characters on “Big Mouth”, and “Central Park”, respectively. This is in the wake of the George Floyd protests. Actor Wendell Pierce launched a campaign to be Henry’s replacement after he quit the show.

  • Alex Borstein voicing Peter’s wife Lois Griffin, Asian correspondent Tricia Takanawa, Loretta Brown, and Lois’ mother, Babs Pewterschmidt
  • Seth Green voicing Chris Griffin and Neil Goldman
  • Lacey Chabert voiced Meg Griffin in the firsts season but left afterward stating time conflicts. Mila Kunis was her replacement.
