.Big Bank Theory is probably one of the most successful TV series that one can come across. The show spans across 279 episodes and around 12 seasons. The show came to end in the month of May earlier this year. The show’s end left many people sad that they won’t see their favorite characters again. The show is entirely the creation of Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, who also served as executive producers at some point on the show in coordination with Steven Molaro. These three people also serve as the head writers of the Big Bang Theory. Now, there is news regarding the possibility of Big Bang Theory spin-offs.

The Story Behind “The Big Bang Theory” Spin-Off :

The Big Bang Theory’s finale was greeted by over 18 million fans that gave the cast of the show a night to remember for the rest of their lives. There are not many series that have this kind of audience response. The end was a happy one, with Amy and Sheldon winning the Nobel Prize, and the elevator finally working. The audience getting to see Howard and Bernadette’s children, and finally, Raj went on a date with the Vampire Slayer herself.

After such an overwhelming end of the series, the fans couldn’t be happier about hearing the news of spin-offs. One spin-off, Young Sheldon, is already airing and is entering its third season now. But, are we going to see more of the cast? Earlier in the month of January this year, Kelly Kahl, the entertainment president of CBS, told Deadline that there have been no formal talks and meetings about the spin-offs with Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros TV. Furthermore, he states:

“The ball is in squarely in their court,” he added. “If they want to talk to us about it, we are here to listen.”

This statement makes it clear that we might get more possible spin-offs if the writers are ready for it. But, this doesn’t mean it’s a “yes”. The runners of the show are neither accepting nor denying and hence, there could be a possibility of something new cooking up the sleeves of the show creators and the network. But, one thing must be certain. We won’t get a new spin-off of Big Bang Theory anytime soon for many reasons, the biggest being the existing pandemic situation. Hence, it is sure that if there are any talks about making such a spin-off of the Big Bang Theory, it will surely take a lot of time for implementation.
