Highlights: The Indian originally US senator, Kamla Harris stated in a press briefing that she will not trust any vaccine by Trump.
With the election of the month coming closer it seems like Donald Trump is going out of his head. Trump accused the political campaign of Biden for politicizing the COVID-19 vaccine. And he also stated that Harris “will never be president”.
What All Donald Trump Said?
On Monday during a press briefing, Donald Trump attacked the Indian origin senate, Kamla Harris. He said,
“I watched Kamala’s whole numbers drop (during the Democratic primaries) from 15 to almost zero and then drop out even before she ran in Iowa because people didn’t like it. And I understand why she will never be president”.
US president calling her the most liberal person in Congress, also added that “she should apologize for the reckless anti-vaccine rhetoric”. He said she is “not a competent person, in my opinion; would destroy this country and would destroy this economy”.
Previously Trump insisted that the vaccine will be ready before the special. So according to him, others are now disparaging his vaccine. Trump said “Wow, Trump has pulled this off. Okay, let’s disparage the vaccine.”
But when questioned, the President denied that he was politicizing the vaccine. He said, “No, I’m saying that because we want to save a lot of lives, the faster, the better. With somebody else, maybe they would say it politically, but I’m saying it in terms of this is what we need.”
What Did Kamla Harris Said About Donald Trump’s Vaccine?
During an interview with CNN, Kamla Harris warned the political interference in the making of the vaccine. When asked by reporters whether she will take the vaccine or not, Kamla Said,
“I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and reliability of whatever he is talking about. I will not take his word for it”.
Reportedly, authorities are putting immense pressure on health officials for creating a vaccine before the day of the election. Coronavirus killed 185,000 people in the United States of America. Additionally, it wreaked a disaster on the economy, not witnessed since the Great Depression.
Harris also stated, ” They’ll be muzzled, they’ll be suppressed, they’ll be sidelined. Because he (Donald Trump) is looking at an election coming up in less 60 days and he is grasping to get whatever he can to pretend that he has been a leader on this issue when he is not”.
