Hey There! Thank you for reading my article. Your reviews and comments are most welcome.

Locke & key Season 2 may come as a boon in the dull world. We are not kidding. If the first season took you on an adventure spree, do you think the second season would be any less? No.

Locke & Key is an American supernatural horror drama based on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s book ‘Locke & Key‘. The series premiered on February 7, 2020, on Netflix. This is a story of the Locke family who moved from Seattle to Matheson, Massachusetts. The three kids, Tyler, Bode, and Kinsey, find out that in their new home, there are numerous keys that they can use to explore different worlds. Soon, however, they also realize that it’s not just them exploring behind the doors, but there is a demonic entity too who is finding a specific key for its devilish use.

The first season was like ‘Alice in Wonderland’. The best thing we liked about it is the fact that there were only 10 episodes, filled with sheer suspense, mystery, and thrill. You see such a beautiful relationship between the siblings and the relationship between them and their mother is also portrayed realistically.

The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it.” – J.M. Barrie

When will you see Locke & Key Season 2?

In March 2020, Netflix announced the renewal of the series for a second season.

As far as the production schedule is concerned, looks like we cannot get it anytime soon. The main reason being the COVID-19 imposed delay. The filming took place in Canada and some parts of Nova Scotia, so if the countries do not provide any leniency in the border restrictions, the show will not start filming. Also, Netflix’s schedules regarding genre-based shows are usually non-annual. So, it depends on Netflix’s schedule as well. Assuming a release year, we can say that we will get Locke & key Season 2 either in late 2021 or in 2022.

The Cast

The young cast members leave no stone unbarred to give us the best they have got. So, changing them or any of the other members is not likely. Hence, we will see the following in Locke & Key Season 2.

  • Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke
  • Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke
  • Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke
  • Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke
  • Laysla De Oliveira as Echo/Dodge
  • Griffin Gluck as Gabe

The plot of Locke & Key Season 2?

The ending revealed our worst nightmare, which was that Dodge is still alive and will continue her search for the key. The developer Carlton Cuse said, “There are so many things that we want them (Locke kids) to do. We want to continually invigorate and refresh the show as an ongoing series.”

One thing we want to see, based on the comics, is the origin of the keys. This will also give further details about the Omega key and why Dodge wants them. The kids will be grown-ups so considering that the elders cannot see the supernatural so will Tyler continue the exploration? Locke and key Season 2 will focus more on the bigger picture of the keys and what the Locke kids are supposed to do with them to prevent them from getting in the wrong hands.
