Limitless Season 2 is such a talked-about season. An interesting spinoff series premiered on September 22, 2015, on CBS. It is a spinoff of a 2011 Bradley Cooper’s movie of the same name. The first season gave us some serious science fiction action and drama. The supernatural theme of the first season made it a top-notch series. Tom Conroy at Media Critic wrote, “Limitless deserves a sampling and then a second look. It could be either a temporary high or truly addictive.” The series has a rating of 7.7 on IMDb.
The first season made quite a mark on the audience. There is a petition on Change.org created by Eunan Murray. He started the petition in hope for other streaming platforms to pick it up and stream more.
The acting in the series was phenomenal. If we talk about a balanced delivery of comedy and dark humor, the show delivered it in the perfect proportion. Every new scenario made you think like “It’s impossible to get out of this one”. But, the makers always had a plan to do it. The first story showed how an average 28-year-old, Brian Finch, became the smartest man after he took a shot of NZT-48. After taking it, he could tap into every single neuron having heightened intuition and memory like no other. He starts helping FBI agent Rebecca Harris to solve the crimes. However, he had to keep the pill a secret to trudge his way into newfound wisdom.
Will we ever get Limitless Season 2?
On May 18, 2016, CBS confirmed that Limitless will not air in the 2016-217 schedule. However, it later finalized its cancellation after only a week. People were annoyed, to say the least. Ever since people want to know whether there will be any future of this show. In 2018, all streaming platforms refused to air the show because of the fear that the show encourages others to take drugs. If we see it from the makers’ point of view, it seems pretty understandable.
The Cast
The cast members who remained alive at the end of Limitless season 1 would have been present in Limitless Season 2. We would have seen Jake Dorman as Brian Finch, Jennifer Carpenter as FBI Special Agent Rebecca Harris, and Hill Harper as FBI Special Agent Spelman Boyle. Mary Elisabeth Mastrantonio could have also reprised her role as an FBI Special Agent in Charge Nasreen ‘Naz’ Pouran.
The plot expectations
Limitless gave us awe-struck moments filled in a truck throughout the series. Limitless Season 2 would have shown the awareness of the NZT-48 drug. Morra declared his candidacy for the presidency and he went missing as well, so what he had up his sleeve could have had a face in Limitless Season 2. In the second season, Finch would still help the FBI in procedures and maybe, the drug could have any side-effect on his brain. Who knows, the dream of seeing limitless Season 2 is, unfortunately, a dream.
