The spin-off of the series “The Witcher” is coming soon on the streaming giant Netflix. The prequel titled “The Witcher: Blood Origin” is all set to come on Netflix really soon and take us again on an exciting adventure. Developed by Lauren Schmidt Hissrisch who was also the showrunner of the main series the prequel’s showrunner will be Declan de Barra. Based on the popular books from Andrzej Sapkowski and video games by CD Project Red, The Witcher was an immediate success on the streamer.

The Witcher Prequel: When is the release happening?
The Witcher was released in 2019 and was a big hit for everyone. Just after the release of its first season, the show was renewed for its second season.
The prequel will be a six-part live-action limited series that details the origin and adventures of the first Witcher. The release date for the prequel is not revealed yet. But we do know that the shooting of the prequel started somewhere in August. Therefore, we won’t be surprised if fans had to wait a while for the prequel. Though, we can expect the series to be out in the late 2021 or early 2022.
The Witcher Prequel: What is it about?
The official synopsis for the prequel reads:
“Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time. The origin of the very first Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal ‘conjunction of the spheres,’ when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged too become one.”
Summing up this means that the show is going to tell us “the original story” of the Witchers. The reason why Witchers were created as well as the method by which the first was made. Moreover, the prequel can answer how this process was discovered. And, can tell us the exact theory behind it. We may get to know the answer to the question, “Was the process an accidental result of magic and torture, or was it a necessary evil to endure”?
