The next generation of GPUs has been unveiled by Nvidia. The GeForce RTX 30 series is here with promising the greatest ever generational performance leap for gaming GPUs in the company’s history. Based on the new Ampere architecture, the GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080, and GeForce RTX 3090 introduce Nvidia’s second-generation RTX ray-tracing cores, GDDR6X memory, and even faster AI processing.
This new GPU family is said to offer nearly twice the performance and power efficiency of the GeForce RTX 20 series. Gamers who buy a GeForce RTX 3070, 3080, or 3090 graphics card or pre-built PC with one of these will get a free digital copy of Watch dogs: legion and a one-year GeForce Now cloud gaming service subscription. Nvidia 3070 GeForce RTX :
3070 GeForce RTX is the most affordable model of Nvidia. It is 60 per cent faster on average than the 2070 GeForce RTX and is suitable for 1440p as well as 4K gaming. That makes it faster than the 2080 GeForce RTX Ti but the cost of it is less than the half as much. It is going to be on sale from 24th September 2020.
Talking about the graphics then the cards will have 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The price of this graphic card will be Rs. 51, 000 i.e. $499 in the US.
Nvidia 3080 GeForce RTX:
It is said to be as the “ultimate gaming GPU”. With the 3080 graphic cards, Nvidia is claiming up to 2x performance improvement over RTX 2080. It features 10GB of the new and improved GDDR6X memory running at 19Gbps and Nvidia claims this card can do k 60fps consistently.
The price of the RTX 3080 will be Rs. 71,000 i.e. $699 in the US. It will be available for sale from 17th September.
Nvidia 3090 GeForce RTX:
It is quoted as the “big ferocious GPU” by Nvidia. The model features a triple-slot cooler with a new dual-axial airflow design that positions one fan on the front and another on the rear. The company says that it is 10x quieter and up to 30 degrees C cooler than current designs.
Talking about the RAM then it will have 24GB of GDDR6X and is said to be up to 50 per cent faster than the current Titan RTX. Gamers will be able to experience 8K game visuals at 60fps. Although this GPU is targeted more at AI developers and massive-scale content creators. The cards will be available from October.
