The filming of Season 4 of the supernatural horror series Wynonna Earp premiered on 26th July 2020. We do not have any confirmation for Wynonna Earp Season 5 as of yet.
Emily Andras is the developer of the show. The show is based on a comic book series by Beau Smith. The show debuted in April 2016 in the US. Four seasons have been aired since its debut. The filming of the fourth season was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. The season then aired on Syfy and CTV Sci-fi channel on 26th July this year.
Release Date of Wynonna Earp Season 5
We do not have an official date for the release of season 5 of the show. The 4th season of the show aired recently so it might be some time before we get a confirmation for the fifth season. It will be safe to assume that the fifth season will probably air somewhere around 2021 depending on the current situation.
The Plot of the Show
Wynonna Earp, the great-great-granddaughter of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp inherits the special power to return revenants, the reincarnated outlaws that Wyatt had killed, back to hell on her 27th birthday. Wynonna works to break her family’s curse by sending demons back where they belong. She also fights other supernatural beings that inhabit the Ghost River Triangle, a cursed territory near the Canadian Rockies that includes Purgatory, her hometown.
The first season focuses on Wynonna fighting the revenants who kidnapped her older sister Willa from their homestead when they were girls. The second season, reveals Wynonna to be pregnant. Waverly struggles with possession by a demon and doubts about her lineage. Season 3, the demon Clootie’s resurrection. He then seeks to find the entrance to the Garden of Eden. The team must work together to stop him and prevent the resulting apocalypse.

The possible cast of season 5 might include Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp, Dominique Provost-Chalkley as Waverly Earp, Tim Rozon essaying Doc Holliday as well as Katherine Barrell as Nicole Haught.
