The Joint Entrance Review (JEE) Mains 2020 will launch today in the wake of the deadly coronavirus disease(COVID-19) pandemic outbreak amid massive demonstrations and controversies. From September 1-6, 2020, the National Testing Agency or NTA will perform the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Primary, and the Center has finalized the Standard Operating Procedure ( SOP) for performing the examination in the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Joint Entrance Review (JEE) Mains 2020 will launch today in the wake of the deadly coronavirus disease(COVID-19) pandemic outbreak amid massive demonstrations and controversies. From September 1-6, 2020, the National Testing Agency or NTA will perform the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Primary, and the Center has finalised the Standard Operating Procedure ( SOP) for performing the examination in the COVID-19 pandemic.

It should be noted that on 17 August the Supreme Court dismissed a petition requesting the postponement of JEE (Main) April 2020 and NEET-Undergraduate exams.

The JEE Key exam will be carried out in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format at 605 BTech / BE centers and 489 BArch and B Planning centers.

Guidelines for JEE 2020 Exam candidates

1. NTA has introduced precautionary steps for the candidates to obey in view of the coronavirus pandemic, which includes a form of self-declaration attached to JEE Key admit card. Candidates appearing for the exam would have to sign the document and apply it on examination day.

The JEE Key undertaking involves different areas, such as the candidate’s travel records, any flu-like symptoms (cough, breathlessness, fever, etc.) they have, and any similar interactions with goodCOVID-19 patients over the past 14 days.

2. The applicant must carry the undertaking given on the admission card at page-1 on the day of the examination (duly filled in, except for his / her signature which he/she will be allowed to do in the presence of the Invigilator). This undertaking is at the time of obtaining the admit card, alongside the one filled online.

Important Candidate Instructions

  1. Without admitting card, legitimate ID proof, and proper frisking, no applicant will be permitted to access the examination center. Frisking by Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD) would be done without body contact.
  2. Candidates are only permitted to bring the following things into the test venue with them:

A colored A4 format admit card printout along with self-declaration (Enterprise)

A Simple Ballpoint Pen

An extra photo to be pasted on the attendance sheet

Personal (50 ml) hand sanitizer

Translucent personal water bottle

Candidates are also required to carry proof of identity original and photocopy such as a PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, or Aadhaar card.
