Ajins are considered dangerous and inhuman by the normal public. The government captures them in the name of protecting them but instead use them for cruel and inhuman experiments. So the Ajins who have escaped from clutches of the government are bend on exacting revenge. However, Kei who wanted to stay away from the Ajin-human conflict has to make an agreement with the Japanese government in exchange for his freedom.

During the release of the second season, there was not enough material available for the story’s next significant arc. But with the release of the recent volume in November 2019, there is more than enough for a third season.
