Redmi 9 will be eligible for purchase in India from Amazon, a dedicated microsite announced on the online marketplace. The microsite also shows some of the main features of the latest handset. Separately, the Redmi 9 specs and rumors have emerged on Twitter stating that Xiaomi is releasing the phone here on August 27.
Xiaomi just announced the launch of the new Redmi 9 series yesterday, and today it’s publicly confirmed that the forthcoming Redmi 9 smartphone will be unveiled on August 27.
Since the launch, in only a few hours, the renderings and the full list of the phone specifications were leaked online. And, literally, we know everything about the mobile, except the size.
The Initial Redmi 9, also branded as the 10X 4 G in China, was released earlier this month as the Prime version in India. What Xiaomi is shipping on August 27 is a tweaked variant of the 9C, according to GizmoChina.
The key discrepancy between the Redmi 9 that India is going to receive and the 9C that has been released internationally is the rear-facing camera. The 9C has three cameras on the rear, while the new Redmi 9 should have two.
Redmi 9 Specifications
Going by the rumors, the new device will be operated by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset and will come in two variants-2GB/32 GB and 3GB/64 GB. It will have a 6.53-inch HD+LCD panel with a dewdrop notch. There is a 5MP selfie camera on the face, and the square image module on the rear has a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor along with an LED light.
There’s an open third camera with a 5MP ultra-wide lens on the Redmi 9 and it’s going to be left unused on the device. There’s even a fingerprint reader on the back of the material.
The Redmi 9 will be released with the MIUI 12 built on Android 10 out-of-box and will come in three colors-Black, Orange and Blue. It comes with a 3.5 mm headset socket, a microSD card tray, a MicroUSB port, and a 5,000mAh battery with a 10W charging service.
So why is the 9C modified releasing in India? According to news, the initial 9C will be released here as the POCO C3.
