Hey There! Thank you for reading my article. Your reviews and comments are most welcome.

Anne with An E Season 4 will mark another beautiful rendition of Lucy Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables. The show is a Canadian period drama by Moira Walley-Beckett. It premiered on March 19, 217, on CBC and Netflix. It is set in 1896 and tells a story of an adopted girl ‘Anne’ who starts living with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. The show tells about how a talkative girl makes her way in the duo’s hearts. It showed how she changed not only herself but for others around her too. The show beautifully portrayed her relationship with her friends, especially Gilbert Blythe. Anne with an E, did a fantastic job of bringing Lucy’s insecurely wonderful girl to real life.

The show has a rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.7 on IMDb. A fan on Google Reviews wrote, ” Everything in this series made me fall in love. It shows that no one is a great parent, and happiness is a quest from within. I love the lesson that nothing is more exciting than one’s imagination about life.”

Will we see Anne with An E Season 4?

In 2019, shortly after the release of the third season, CBS and Netflix canceled the series. It came as a surprise for everybody. For those who wanted to see a continuation of Anne’s life after she comes back from Queens College and for those who read the book and wanted the series to end just like it. In a joint statement, Netflix and CBS said, “We’ve been thrilled to bring the quintessentially Canadian story of Anne with an E to viewers around the world. We’re thankful to producers Moira Walley-Beckett and Miranda de Pencier and to the talented cast and crew for their incredible work in sharing Anne’s story with a new generation.”

The show’s creator Moira Walley-Beckett posted an Instagram post to express her disappointment. She wrote, “We have reached the end of the red Green Gables road after three wonderful seasons.

Fans are expecting Netflix to pick up the show as it did with Lucifer and Designated Survivor. There is a petition on Change.org, to renew Anne with an E for a fourth season. It has crossed theĀ  mark, but still, the chances seem bleak, but as Lucy Maud Montgomery said, “Next to trying and winning is trying and failing.”

The reason for cancellation

The main reason for canceling Anne with an E is the not-so amicable relationship between Canada and Netflix. Catherine Tait, the Canadian broadcaster’s president, said that Netflix’s presence in Canada is like imperialism. She spoke, “Fast forward to what happens after imperialism and the damage that it can do to local communities. All I would say is, let us be mindful of how it is we as Canadians respond to global companies coming into our country. Several countries have done deals with Netflix, and over time we start to see that we’re feeding the growth of Netflix, rather than feeding our own domestic business and industry.”

Anne with an E Season 4 was needed to see how the characters were doing in the long run. Fans wanted to see more about Native American girl’s abduction. The writers had so much written for the characters. Seeing the creators’ efforts to bring it back to life moved us all. Who knows, maybe we will get Anne with an E Season 4 in future.

I love you so much for trying so hard and fighting a fierce fight with your big hearts and beautiful souls. You are a force of nature. Look at this amazing artwork inspired by love for ANNE WITH AN E!! I mean, I am amazed and so grateful. I have been moved to tears so many times in the last few weeks… so many, many tears. This is my child. I birthed her, I helped her grow, I cherish and adore her. AnnE means everything to me 🧔 Please know that we fought, too. We tried to change their minds. We tried to find a new home. We tried for a finale movie… We tried our best. ā€œNext to trying and winning, the best thing is trying and failing.ā€ LM Montgomery said that. Either way, we tried 🧔 Art and Commerce is never an easy marriage. I often find it inexplicable. This is one of those times. But it’s impossible to argue with words like Economics, Algorithms, Demographics, etc., etc. But those words and others like them are the reason why the Networks don’t want to continue. And we didn’t find a taker anywhere else 🧔 I know you’re upset and disappointed, sad and angry — I completely understand — because our beloved AnnE has been snatched away. If there was something more to do I would do it 🧔 So now you know what I know. I guess this is a tragical romance after all. But then again love is love is love is love is love. And love is not lost when it is nurtured. We will always love our Anne with an E. We will always love Green Gables with our whole hearts and everything it stands for. They can’t take that away from us 🧔 I love you so much. Thank you for fighting and loving my AnnE as much as I do 🧔 Artwork by @emeriart and @luztapiaart #annewithane #awae #family #kindredspirits #foreverandaday šŸ¦‰šŸ§”
