Hey There! Thank you for reading my article. Your reviews and comments are most welcome.

Chromecast is an effective tool for making video calls efficient and successful. It is a small media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port of your TV. It is basically a tool to give you a professional feel to all your meetings, as if in you were in an office and you are siting face-to -face with everyone. Google also took a step to ensure the competence of virtual meetings through its meeting portal, Google Meet. Google is adding support for Chromecast. Using this, you can stream your meetings on your TV.

What will Chromecast do?

Chromecast comes built-in almost all Android appliances so you can stream your meetings on your TV. Whether you are connecting with friends, having online get-together, getting married online via Meet or listening to your classes, Chomecast will ensure that you have high visibility and high delivery of the meetings. This will also put Google Meet as a direct competition to Zoom. Students and teachers can tap Meet now instead of Zoom. The feature can work on Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, and second-gen Chromecast devices.

When attending a meeting, you will use microphone, camera and audio of your computer or phone, but you can view it for better efficiency on your TV. For this, Google added a word of caution too telling the viewers that display may vary from TV to TV. So, your display will be surely better on 4k Ultra LEDs than basic LEDs.

Official statement

Google Employee Grace Y gave this announcement on behalf of the team of Google in a blog.

She wrote, “With more people spending time at home these days, Meet provides the opportunity to stay connected with family, friends, co-workers, and others. Meet on Chromecast will let you host or join meetings giving you the opportunity to connect with classmates, collaborate on projects, and even attend lectures.”

The move came after the success of Google Meet on Nest Hub Max which came in late June. Seeing the current conditions of increased home being a base of work, Google felt it right to provide an ease through the feature of Chromecast. This new step will ensure that people are at ease in their homes whether they are learning, sharing new brand ideas or having a time of their life.
