JEE Mains Admit Card : Download Procedure And More Examination Information

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the admit card for JEE Mains on August 17, 2020. Students with the proper application details can visit the official website and download the JEE Mains admit card. The exam was set to happen in April 2020 but due to the pandemic situation, there was a certain delay. However, the NTA is planning to conduct the examination between September 1-6, 2020. There will be two shifts for this examination. One shift will be the Morning shift from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The second shift will be the Evening shift from 3:00 pm to 6:pm. Here is everything you need to know about the process.

Students need to have filled up the application form before the download of the admit card. Only students with a proper application form will receive the admit card. The students can visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in to download their application forms. They can also tune in to this website for any latest updates.

On August 17, the Supreme Court dismisses any plea regarding the postponement fo the examinations. There was an appeal to postpone the JEE Mains and NEET Undergraduate examinations. However, the Supreme Court discards any such pleas. It says, “ The precious years of the students cannot be wasted”. Amidst the hike in coronavirus cases, the Supreme Court says that “life must go on”. A three-judge panel decides that the career of the students cannot be jeopardized for long.

Arun Mishra, the Justice says, “ Life has to move ahead. Life must go on. We cannot waste the precious years of the students”. The other judges Krishna Murari and B R Gavai say they are still paving way for the commencement of scheduled exams. However, the coronavirus is here to stay for long.

Examination Modes

The examination will be conducted in the following modes:

  1. Only the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for B.E/B.Tech. students.
  2. B. Arch: Part I Mathematics “Computer-Based Test” only. Part II Aptitude Test “Computer-Based test” Only. Part III Drawing Test “Pen And Paper Based”. It will be an offline test where the students need to draw on A4 size sheets only.
  3. B. Planning: Part I Mathematics “Computer-Based test” only. Part II Aptitude Test “Computer-Based test” only. Part III Planning-Based Questions “Computer-Based Test” only.

Candidates appearing for B. Arch and B. Planning will have a time limit of 3.30 hours. It will be from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Besides, the candidates should reach the examination center 2 hours before the exam. In case of using any false means and submitting the wrong information, the candidature will be canceled. Also, there will be no declaration of results.
