Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 is a Japanese adaptation of manga series by ONE. It includes elements of action, comedy, and supernatural. The manga is available online on Shogakkukan’s mobile app MangaONE since December 2014. The anime is loved for its animation style and the philosophy behind it. The fight scenes make all manga fans go haywire. It is enjoyable, emotional, and witty. The manga series has over 1.6 million copies in circulation as of Jul 2016. In 2017, the manga won the 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category. In 2019, Crunchyroll listed it in their ‘Top 25 best anime of the 2010s.’ Anime News Network listed the first season of Mob Psycho 100 among the best anime series of 2016. These are just a few accolades to mention.
Mob Psycho 100 is a story of Shigeo Kageyama who is a middle school student nicknames Mob, for lacking a sense of presence. (The literature of Mob is ‘background character’) But, what others don’t know about him is that he has extraordinary psychic abilities. His powers are so strong that he works under a self-proclaimed psychic, Reigen Arataka to tame them. With his powers growing more and more, his power breaks through and he encounters other Espers too.

Release Date
The second season concluded in December 2019. The first season came out in 2016 and a live-action adaptation aired in 2018. The second season was such a hit that the anticipation for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 is growing day by day. Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, the entertainment industry faced considerable financial loss and it also pushed the plans back. So, the third season can come out in late 2021 if the development starts by this year’s end.
The Plot of Mob Psycho 100 Season 3
The manga series is crisp and well-written. Chapter 92.2 was the adaptation we saw in the second season’s ending scene. This leaves 65 chapters unadapted. Those are enough chapters for the third season. You can create a spinoff movie with it still! Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will start from where studio Bones found an ending point for the second season. We will see whether the Mob gets his powers back. Reigen got her work at the agency and Mob being grown up, does not know what to do with the attention he’s getting from the girls. Brocolli tree will form an interesting arc too. Will it devour Spice City? The third season will prove to be an interesting conclusion.
The Cast
We will definitely see Setsuo Ito as Shigeo Kageyama and Takahiro Sakurai as Arataka Reigen. We cannot forget other sub-characters to star in the third season. These include Akio Ôtsuka as Dimple, Miyu Irino as Ritsu Kageyama, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Teruki Hanazawa. We will see a new character named Haruki Amakusa.
It is expected that the third season will do the best than the previous two seasons and we don’t doubt it in the least bit.
