V Wars Season 2 is unlikely if the latest reports are to be believed. All the Vampire Diaries fans who loved Damon Salvatore, as a vampire in action, equally loved Dr. Luther Swann in V Wars first season. The first season made quite an impression on the audience. They loved how the vampires are realistically portrayed in this show. There is no magic involved in it. There is a logical explanation as to how people are turning into vampires. The character of Dr. Luther Swann is caring who genuinely looks into the spreading disease and works for its cure. But, also, he has immense love for his son, just like any other father. The dialogues were well-written as well.

Will there be a V Wars Season 2?
All the episodes of the first season came out on December 5, 2019, with the protagonist being Dr. Luther Swann. On March 30, 2020, Netflix announced the cancelation of the series after the first season, to everyone’s dismay, including Somerhalder’s. On Rotten Tomatoes, the rating amounted to a mere 56%, which is said to be a significant reason for the show’s cancelation. The first season of a show makes a place for the series in the market, and Netflix decided not to go with it further after analyzing the critical response. Ian previously said in an interview that the coming seasons were pretty exciting, guess we won’t ever find out.
In an interview with Digital Spy, he said, “We just kind of scratch the surface. The subsequent seasons of what we have lined up for the show are really sick. They are.”
In an Instagram live, he said, “There are lots of great stories to tell, and I’m going to tell them.” We really don’t know about his plans but looks like he’s got something brewing.
Season 2 plot
V Wars is a show revolving around Dr. Luther Swann, who tries to combat the mysterious disease after his best friend turned into a predator who feeds on other humans. The disease is spreading, and society is crumbling battling against the growing number of vampires.
In the second season, we are not sure what the producers’ exact plans were. However, Ian mentioned the second season’s details in a telephonic interview with IANS. He said, “Going into season two, we will get to explore characters that we are really excited about. There are two amazing Indian characters that we are going to put together – a father and a daughter.” He was excited to include diverse vampires in the show. He told IANS, “A vampire in India will be different from a vampire in Eastern Europe or South America, that will be a fascinating and new angle to explore.”
The cast
The cast in V Wars was talented, without a doubt. So, in V Wars Season 2, we were hoping to see Ian Somerhalder as Dr. Luther Swann, along with his human turned vampire best friends, Adrian Holmes, as Michael Fayne. We could expect Nikki Reed‘s Rachel Swann character to be back too if a second season comes. If the staked vampires survived, they would have made an appearance in V Wars Season 2 as well.
