Marvel seems to have some new interesting projects coming up and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 happens to be in the list.
Guardians of the Galaxy is produced by Marvel studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The first film aired in 2014. It won the Hugo award for Best Dramatic Presentation in 2015. The sequel of the movie came out in 2017. Right now, the production of the third movie is ongoing. It follows the titular team of the intergalactic criminals who try to stop a fanatical warrior with motives to ruin the universe.
Guardians of the Galaxy has an IMDb rating of 8.0. It is not super serious like other superhero movies. The wit and humor is a highlight making the viewers leave a smile on their face after watching the movie. A viewer on IMDb wrote, “Guardians of the Galaxy is nothing short of an amazing movie. If there’s anything I can say, it’s that it is the best superhero movie I have seen.” It has action and the thrills never leave you bored. The two films garnered a lot of fame and revenue and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is all set to return to the theaters.
Release Date
Guardians of the Galaxy is still on track. We were thinking that amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, the makers might have decided to delay the release. However, the director James Gunn confirmed that the schedule is not altered.

So, we can expect the movie to be out in 2022 on Marvel’s slots of October 7, 2022. Dunn will devote his time to the movie completely after finalising The Suicide Squad.
The plot
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is a part of Phase 4, which includes Black Panther, Infinity war, and the fourth Avengers film. The third movie will take place after Avengers 3 and 4. This means that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be set several years after the volume 2. In a Facebook post, Gunn wrote, “The movie will conclude the story of this iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and help catapult both old and new Marvel characters into the next ten years and beyond.”
The film will show the fallout from Avengers: Endgame after the characters fought Thanos. While answering fan questions, Gunn wrote, “We have great things coming up for the others, like Quill and Mantis. All of their arcs take place over the three films as opposed to in only the individual movies.” So, the third movie will take on various arcs to give the best conclusion.
