Officially, Mirzapur season 2 is finally happening. This is the most popular Indian web series on Amazon Prime, and it has a huge fan base. The crime thriller has got a green light, and it is all set to hit us soon. Executive producer Farhan Akhtar confirms that they have started filming season 2 way back in 2019. The series was a receiver of much love and appreciation. And ever since the end of season 1, fans have been eagerly waiting for season 2. Mirzapur Season 2 Release Date
The first season came out in 2018, and fans have been waiting ever since for season 2. As per expectations, the show was supposed to come out in 2019. But battling certain odds, season 2 is finally coming out in 2020. There has been official confirmation that season 2 is finally going to release on November 25, 2020.
There is no need to worry anymore now as our wait is finally over. We will see the Mirzapur season 2 in November of this year. The first season came up with nine episodes. So we can expect the second season also to follow the same pattern. It will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
Cast
We can expect to see all familiar faces from season 1. There has been no official disclosure about the cast yet. But we can see Ali Fazal coming back as Guddu Pandit. He is the main protagonist of the show. We are not sure if Vikrant Massey will be back as Guddu’s brother. This is because he was killed in the season finale.
Other cast members include Rajesh returning as Rampant Pandit, the lawyer. Divyendu Sharma will return as Munna, the evil one, Pankaj Tripathi will play Akhandanand Tripathi. Shweta Tripathi will be back a Golu Gupta, Harsita Gaur will play Dimpi Pandit. Rasika Dugal will play Beena Tripathi, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda will be back as Bauji.
Mirzapur Season 2 Plot
The story is about two brothers who involve themselves with the mafia, violence, drugs, and crime. The show is set in Uttar Pradesh, and it shows the dirty, dark side of the Purvanchal region. We can expect season 2 to follow the threads of season 1. We can expect a lot of violence as Guddu might take revenge on his brother’s death. As per the news, the actors are already in their dubbing sessions. So we can expect the season to hit the screens soon and we can’t wait.
