Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 will be the sequel to the ground-breaking anime’s first season. The manga is written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōg. Fans are predicting the second season. After the airing of the first season, Ufotable announced a sequel movie to come out in October 2020. However, the makers or the distributors have not spoken about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2.
Demon Slayer’s literature name is Blade of Demon Destruction. The manga series is the best selling manga after its sales crossed 80 million.

The anime was loved for its doting storytelling, marvelous animation, and daring action scenes. It revolves around the sibling duo Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado. They get entangled in the working of an underground society, Demon Slayer Corps, after Nezuko became a demon in a demon attack. They are inhabitants of Taisho-era Japan. When one day, Tanjiro comes home, he finds his parents dead, and his sister turns into a demon after the attack. But, she still has human emotions, so they both start their adventure to get her human nature back.
Will there be Demon Slayer / Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2?
In August 2019, producer Takahashi said that a sequel to the show largely depends on the audience. So, if the fans’ support is needed, we think that the bar has already been achieved. Why? Because fans bought the manga and made it the best selling manga series. Oricon charts show that Demon Slayer Blu-Ray/DVD sales in Japan have surpassed any other anime. We know that the movie ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train’ is all set to hit the screens on October 16, and the makers are busy with that right now. So, once the movie is out, we can expect a sequel’s announcements because not making another sequel does not seem likely.
Even though Ufotable is in trouble due to tax evasion and earthquake charity fund scandal, we can still say that either this company or some other writer will take the project.
The Adaptation Information
The first season ended near Chapter 51 of volume 6 of the manga series. The movie will pick up with Chapter 52, the Train story arc. The arc finishes at chapter 66, so Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 will start with Chapter 67, the beginning of the Red Light District arc. We can see chapters 70 to 127 in the season. So, the fight to save his sister will become exciting, thrilling, and exhilarating. We can expect more backstories on Kibutsuji and Tanjiro.

Release Date
It is possible that we will hear from the makers after the movie is out. We can hear from them in 2021 and get the season in 2022. The wait is definitely long but worthwhile.
