Green Lantern Corps Release Date
Geoff Johns is the writer and producer of the movie. Warner Bros. makes the first announcement for this movie way back in 2014. The movie was all set to release on July 24, 2020. However, due to the global coronavirus pandemic, there is no way it is happening. The makers had to postpone the release for inevitable reasons.
This was the cause of huge disappointment within the fans. This is because the fans were impatiently waiting for years for this movie to release. The fans were also curious about the reasons for the massive deal. However, given the current situation, the production is on hold. So we can expect the movie to release anytime between 2021 or 2022.
Cast
There has been no official confirmation about the cast of the movie. We are not sure who is going to play Green Lantern in the movie. However, as per rumors we can expect to see Lance Gross as Green Lantern or John Stewart. There were also rumors about Tom Cruise playing Hal Jordan. But obviously, it did not work out.
There have been other actors who were campaigning about the role of John Stewart. As per sources, Tyrese Gibson had a meeting with DC about the character, but things were not fruitful. We also had Chris Pine vouching for the character of Jordan but it did not work out as well. Sterling K. Brown also wants to play Stewart. But as of now, there is no official confirmation about any roles as such.

The Green Lantern movie in 2011 was a receiver of huge negativity. The reviews from critics were not good and fans considered it to be a collateral disaster. However, the upcoming movie is not a sequel but a reboot for the 2011 film.
