Next in Fashion Season 2 talks literally about who will be the next big name in the fashion industry. As the name suggests, Next in Fashion is a Netflix Original fashion show which gives the contestants a chance to showcase their fashion designing skills in front of Fashion Industry giants, Tan France, and Alexa Chung. The show shows not only the technical aspects of being a fashion designer but also the emotions a designer feels on a regular basis. The first season got immense love because it brought out newness and creativity in an authentic manner. The contestants were humble and obviously, creatively talented. All in all, it is a good show for fashion aspirants and lovers.

If any show is compared to ‘The Project runway’ or ‘Making the Cut’, it is safe to say that it has that potential. Next in Fashion, from its first episode, gained a critic eye. The judges were well-known, the visuals were immaculate, and every day’s new challenges were fascinating to watch. Next in Fashion is a fashion competition that debuted on Netflix in January 2020. Over ten episodes, eighteen designers competed based on new trends and styles. The winner receives USD$250,000 and can debut a collection with Net-a-Porter, a luxury fashion retailer.
In each episode, the contestants were given new ideas to work with. They had to bring their best fashion piece forward. They also had access to runway work. The actual runway was professional, giving it a natural feel. The judges would deliberate and announce their verdict. The winner of the first season was Minju Kim.

Will there be a Next in Fashion Season 2?
Coming to the show’s future, even after the amazing response, Netflix canceled the show in June 2020. That came as a shock to the fans who loved the show and also to people who wanted to see themselves in Next in Fashion Season 2.
However, the show was initially set to be a one-season show. France told Variety originally, “This is a one-season show, we don’t know what will happen in the future. My focus is definitely on Queer Eye and moving forward with that.” So, from this statement, we can analyze that the judge had other plans as a priority.
The fans noticed that even though the show produced some pretty breathtaking pieces, the hosting and judging could have been better. They did not like how the designers often judged the designers on how they are dressed. So, it is safe to say that Next in Fashion has sewn its way out the door forever.
Alexa Chung’s reaction on Next in Fashion Season 2
Alexa Chung is a model, TV presenter, author, and designer. She launched her brand in 2017. When asked about Next in Fashion, she said, “I laughed every day! It was delightful. I haven’t done TV for years and years and years. They got in touch with me, and I said, ‘Oh that sounds excellent, yes please.’”
