Impractical Jokers is an American hidden camera video reality show featuring elements of improvisation. On December 15, 2011, Impractical Jokers, produced by NorthSouth Productions, debuted on truTV, starring the four members of The Tenderloins: Joe Gatto, James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn and Sal Vulcano.
Members of the improv community known as The Tenderloins, a team made up of Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn, and Sal Vulcano, will be happy to hear that there is more of Impractical Jokers coming to both truTV and HBO Max in the near future as the work began on the series’ Season 9.
10 more parts of quarantine-friendly Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party— which would be broadcasted this fall— were requested for truTV. The Impractical Jokers film will also make its way to HBO Max on September 1. The series follows the group as they go to a Paula Abdul concert and, of course, they push each other along the way to humiliating activities.
The ensemble just filmed its 200th milestone season, set to debut in early next year. The reveal was made at a special live-streamed Q&A session at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 fan festival.

Impractical Jokers Season 9 Release Date
The Season 8 of ‘Impractical Jokers’ debuted on truTV on 28 March 2019. It wrapped up on March 5, 2020 after lasting 26 impressive seasons.
Okay, there’s more to it! On July 19, 2019 the network revealed in the midst of the eighth season itself that the series was being renewed for another season.
Brett Weitz, general manager of TNT, TBS, and truTV, announced the news saying: “For us, it’s a no-brainer to bring this show back for a ninth season and give the fans what they demand. The guys consistently bring the funny and we are proud to be home to their hilarious antics” — as Deadline noted.
We have not yet received an update on the production timeline. What we say is that season 9 is going to consist of 26 episodes and the writers are planning for a release in 2020. The show has been pursuing a pattern of screening the next season since season 5, about three months after the completion of the previous season. Unless the series keeps to the above timeline, we should predict season 9 of Impractical Jokers to most likely air sometime in June 2020— about three months after the conclusion of season 8 in March.
