Release Date of Queen of the South Season 5
The USA revealed Season 5 of Queen of the South in August 2019, right at the end of Season 4. Each season of the show has historically debuted in June and ended in late August or early September. While the announcement of renewal scheduled season 5 to follow the same course, things have not necessarily gone to routine.
Season 5 started filming in early March 2020, according to Newsweek, with plans to begin airing in June. Yet, as with several other film and TV shoots this year, filming for Queen of the South’s next season was placed on indefinite hold a few weeks after it began shooting. Filming hasn’t resumed at the time of writing, and there is no word about when we can expect it to start again.
Newsweek has mentioned a rumor from fans that the show’s season 5 will debut in March 2021. Although this has not been confirmed by the USA Network, despite the delays in development, it does seem like a likely timeframe for launch. There’s currently no indication exactly when Queen of the South season 5 will premiere, but based on what we know, we guess it will drop sometime in early 2021

Queen of the South Season 5: Plot
The fifth run certainly sounds like Teresa will have her job cut out for her when facing off against Russian criminals; there are other things that will come home to roost for them too.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Ben Loba’to commented on how vital James’ return is in the new run.
“We wanted James to be in season 4, but Peter had some other things that he wanted to explore creatively, so he went off and did that,” Lobato says.
“What that was done, he came back around and told us he was available. We decided to get him back in and set him up for season 5 and let’s go.”
“Things weren’t completely planned out this way. It was something that happened through the season. We’re so grateful that it did, and we’re so happy to have him back.”
So, what do the fans think, will Teresa make it out alive in season 5?
