Overlord Season 4 is a Japanese anime based on the light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama. It is a dark-fantasy anime with a focus on Isekai. If you are new to the anime world, Isekai is a transportation genre. In this, people get accidentally transported to another realms. The first season premiered in 2015. The show has fantastic artwork, along with some bop music.
Overlord is a story about players who get transported into the virtual world while playing ‘Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.’ The show moves forward with the introduction of various characters. A character named Momonga adopts the role of a guild leader. He prepares his army to get them out of this new place. However, he fails to do so. The people accept this world as their new ‘real’ world. The ‘nazarick’ world gets threatened by Ainz Ooal Gowl, who does not hesitate to kill anyone. The show portrays the psychology of a creature beyond ethical concerns with near-limitless power.
What will happen in Overlord Season 4?
In this season, we will Ainz’s tranny on a whole new level. We are sure that he will try to rule on people by making them fear him. He will rule the Sorcerer Kingdom and lead it against the wellbeing of people. Ainz was a good guy. His ways changed when he found that in this new place, he has infinite power and is able to do anything. This is also a lesson that people become blind in front of power and riches.
He has very high ambitions for his kingdom. In Overlord Season 4, we will see Ainz conquering the entire Yggdrasil’s world. We will see what kind of a King he will become, good or evil. What do you think?
The fourth season will revolve around volume 12 of the manga series. That means Overlord Season 4 will take on The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom arc. It will also have thirteen episodes like the previous three seasons.

Release Date of Overlord Season 4
As mentioned above, Overlord Season 4 will be based on volume 12. However, the third season also took some parts of volume 12. There are only 13 volumes of this light novel series. The 14th light novel won’t come out until March 2020. So, if the makers want to give us a diverse plot other than the volume 12, we will have to wait for late 2021.
We haven’t heard any confirmation from the makers yet. However, it is impossible not to renew the show based on popularity, sales, and source material. Rumors were surfacing that Overlord Season 4 will happen at some convention. So, it seems that 2021 is the year for Overlord Season 4.
