You is an American Psycho-Thriller TV series produced by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. So far, two seasons of the series have been released, the first season on Lifetime and the second season on Netflix. The series has earned a lot of success and was ranked 7.8/10 by IMDb and 90 percent by Rotten Tomatoes.
While fans of You on Netflix heard in January that the hit crime thriller would be returning for season 3, audiences were eventually given an update on the progress of the series.
Following the news of You’s renewal, we learned in February that production for season 3 had begun. However, as a result of coronavirus, numerous film and television projects have been shut down. The shutdown triggered significant delays in launches for shows such as Stranger Things and the American Horror Story.
Originally, You was scheduled to make a comeback in 2020. Considering that the show ‘s new tagline was “New Year, New You,” season 3 is expected to fall just ahead of 2021. For starters, season 2 hit Netflix on 26 December 2019. On 24 July, Netflix announced that season 3 of You would begin sometime in 2021.
In the coming season, we should expect Ellie Alves to come back as an insider admitted, “I don’t believe her plot has completely run its course, and I say so because the writers have been so brilliant with the way they’ve left so many doors open.”
Apart from her, we should predict the following actors to be present in the third season:
- Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg
- Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn
- Jenna Ortega as Ellie Alves
- James Scully as Forty Quinn
- Ambyr Childers as Candace Stone
- Carmela Zumbado as Delilah Alves
What will happen in Season 3?
One fan theory indicates that the woman in the backyard at the end of season 2, episode 10, “Heart, really,” is Joe ‘s girlfriend. You could recall that he never disclosed that she was dead or alive. “I ‘m trying to find out a way to get to you. See you then, neighbor, “Joe (creepily) muttered to himself as he looked at the enigmatic lady. On the other side, some fans are persuaded that the neighbor will be Love’s next target.
Perhaps one of the craziest beliefs is that Love doesn’t really carry Joe’s child. Ultimately, some people believe that Love used her pregnancy as a blow to avoid Joe’s effort to kill her. In addition, Joe was with Delilah during the second half of the series, and Love was with Milo. By this reasoning, wouldn’t the kid be Milo’s? To be honest, Love maintained that she used protection with Milo, but we’re certainly going to have to wait to see how this plot progresses.
