Mirzapur is an Amazon Prime Original series produced by Excel Entertainment. It is an Indian crime thriller action web TV series. Mirzapur is Amazon’s third original Indian show after Inside Edge and Breathe. But, the popularity that this show garnered not only in India but across the world is record-breaking. It is compared to Netflix’s Indian show ‘Sacred Games.’
Mirzapur is set in a town of the titular ‘Mirzapur’ with some shots in Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Ghazipur. It showcases dark concepts of drugs, guns, murder, and lawlessness. It depicts the extent of governance and rule of mafia teams underground. The show talks about crime prevailing in Uttar Pradesh. The show is a hit among the audience. However, critics do not appreciate the needless depiction of violence. But, if you are a fan of the top-notch actors, this show becomes your haven.
When will Mirzapur Season 2 release?
Amazon Prime Video released a birthday anniversary trailer on November 15 last year. The video showed that the second season would come put in 2020.
But, it’s been confirmed a long way now. Its original release date was in December. Then, at the beginning of this year, there were talks that it could release in August. However, before COVID-19, the team could only finish half-way production. “We had dubbed a few episodes before the lockdown, so we picked up mid-way. It was great to be back because this has been an unusually long break,” Ali Fazal said in an interview with India Today.
So, what happens about the release date? We know that the actors are back on set for dubbing and giving final touches. It seems unlikely that it will release in August because no promotions have started yet. December seems a long way. So, according to our sources, the new date for Mirzapur Season 2 release is November 23, 2020.
Who will star in Mirzapur Season 2?
Mirzapur made its mark because of some big names of Bollywood. So, Anurag Kashyap won’t try to experiment with that. At least that’s what we hope. The cast will include:

The plot
Season one ended well…… chaotically and cryptically.
We saw a frenzy in the wedding place. The audience has questions that it wants Season 2 to answer. Will Munna die? Or will he kill somebody prominent? What is Sharad going to do after his makeover? What will happen with Beena and Raja?
Guddu will likely plot a lot in the new season to get revenge from Munna. However, Guddu will also escape the impending danger in the hands of Sharad. The season will have nine episodes like the last one.
