One of your favorite shows, “Outlander,” is returning with its season six. Straz confirmed it, and now all the fans out there are super-excited for the upcoming bang. As per the tradition, the upcoming sixth season of the show is going to be based upon the sixth book in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series named “A Breathe of Snow and Ashes”. We are here with all the exciting information and updates you need to know about the upcoming season of the show.
Outlander Season 6: When will it release?
The last season i.e., the fifth season of the show, aired in February 2020. So, we can expect the delay with the upcoming season too. The whole industry is taken in control by the coronavirus pandemic, and we can’t say anything for sure. The show’s star Sam Heughan told all the fans in June that all the cast and crew members are trying to find the safest way to continue the shooting.
Well, we can expect the sixth season to hit the screens in 2021.
Outlander Season 6: Who all are inside?
The great news is that the series has been officially renewed for its sixth season, and we will get to see the major actors of the show on the screen. That means we are again going to see Sam Heughan in the role of Scottish Heartthrob Jamie Fraser. Plus, Caitriona Balfe, too, will be back playing the role of Jamie’s wife, Claire Fraser.
For the other cast members, we don’t have any official information about their return. We can expect Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton to reprising their roles as Roger Wakefield (husband of Fraser’s daughter) and Brianna Randall Fraser (Daughter of Fraser).
Outlander Season 6: What will be the plotline?
In the fifth season, we saw that Jamie returned Lionel’s body to his brother, who swore revenge on the Frasers; that means we might see in the sixth season the deal with the fall-out from Lionel’s murder and Marsali’s part in it.
Though there is no official information about the storyline of the sixth season. But we can also expect to see Claire coping with her trauma; and how she is aided by her husband, Jamie, and daughter, Brianna, who are all rape survivors.
In season five, we saw Jamie drawn into the American Revolution; and in this season, we might get to see the increasing political unrest as the Fraser’s tries to live peacefully in North California.
