Hey There! Thank you for reading my article. Your reviews and comments are most welcome.

Cobra Kai Season 3 is based on The Karate Kid film series. It is a martial arts comedy-drama created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald. The two seasons premiered on YouTube Premium series. However, Season 3 will not run on its original home, but on a new place, Netflix. Netflix’ Vice President of original series, Brian Wright, said, “The appeal of The Karate Kid saga is timeless, and Cobra Kai picks up right where it left off without missing a beat.” Cobra Kai Season 3 on Netflix will be a level up than the last two epic episodic seasons.

Cobra Kai is a story of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). It’s set thirty years after the All Valley Karate Tournament. He seeks redemption by reopening Cobra Kai’s infamous dojo. This re-ignites his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), who has been struggling without his mentor Mr. Miyagi. The story takes us along their students and how they carry on the conflicts that are the products of Daniel and Johnny’s inability to move away from the past. It has a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.8 IMDb rating.

The Plot of Cobra Kai Season 3

In Season 2, we saw Daniel telling his family to stay away from Robby and Johnny. The second season ended with two dojos, one from Cobra Kai and another from Miyagi-Do, at each other throats at their school. They find themselves fighting each other to stay alive. The last scene shows Johnny throwing his phone away, but he doesn’t notice that he has a friend request from Ali Mills Schwarber.

In season 3, we will see the future of Miyagi-Do. Will Johnny see that he got a friend request from his ex-girlfriend? Will Daniel find out about it? How will he react to it? Will Miguel live through his injuries? Will Daniel go back to Japan?

There are tons of questions.

Phew!

We are eagerly looking forward to seeing how Netflix will deliver the answers to us.

Release Date

In 2020, Netflix acquired the first two seasons, which are said to release on the streaming platform on August 28, 2020. It also announced that it would soon release the third season at a date to be determined. In 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, we came to know that the third season is already filmed.

How cool is that!

We can expect season 3 to premiere on Netflix in early 2021.

The Cast

We can talk on and on about the cast. The cast makes us feel nostalgic and dates back to our childhood days.

(No offense to the actors! We are not saying you are old. LOL)

But, the spectacular cast, young and veteran, has a unique way of keeping the entire show together. The actors we will see in Cobra Kai Season 3 are:
