Further, the show’s co-creator Dan Harmon told at Adult swim Comic-Con that the production is on thanks to Zoom meetings. We get incredibly thrilled when the makers keep us posted. It makes us feel connected. If you haven’t watched the first look of Rick and Morty Season 5, don’t worry, we got you covered. You can watch it right here.
Rick and Morty is an American animated sci-fi sitcom for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. It follows around the blunders caused by an overly enthusiastic scientist, Rick Sanchez, and his good grandson, Morty Smith. The show shows us their domestic life and inter-dimensional adventures.
When is Rick and Morty Season 5 due to release?
Fans are eager to watch the fifth Season after the first look. So, when can we expect it? Sadly, it seems like we have to wait a little longer because there is no release date yet. However, Harmon told Entertainment Weekly that the gap wouldn’t be as long as the previous seasons. ‘I don’t know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again.’ The previous seasons had two years gap between each other. So, we can expect the next Season to air next year even after the pandemic hurdle.
What will be the plot of this Season?
There is no plot information given by the show’s creators. Although, co-creators, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, said that the writers are working over Zoom in two-hour blocks. They think that through Zoom, they can work quickly without any drama that can be caused in a physical writers’ room.
After watching the first look, people now understand that Jessica does not like talking to Morty not because she’s conceited but because he’s always sidelined her. This will also change the viewers’ perception of Jessica, which makes them eager to see more of her. In Season 5, a nemesis, Mr. Nimbus, will be introduced. The Season can also be about Rick’s mortality. There are quite a few theories, which will be answered when the season premieres.
The same voice actors will deliver their work in season 5:
- Justice Roiland as Rick and Morty (among other characters)
- Sarah Chalke as Beth
- Chris Parnell as Jerry
- Kari Wahlgren as Jessica
If we see Mr. Poopybuttholes, Roiland will voice him again. Well, that’s exciting!
About episode premiere, the creators are thinking of releasing one episode a month. Roiland said, “I like the idea of thinking outside the box with how any show is delivered to the masses. If you do one a month, the show is alive the whole year, and you’re still buying us all the time we need to make them as good as they need to be.”[NME]
Whatever they do, this Season is going to be good!!
