Dracula is back with its blood-sucking ventures again. Dracula season 2 is going to be tricky. This year Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat are returning with their most popular series. Dracula season 2 takes its inspiration from Stoker’s novel, and it premiers on Netflix and BBC One. We can call it a blessing or a curse, but our favorite vampire is back again. So let us all wait to see if he has any more life left in him. Stay tuned to find out more about Dracula season 2.
Dracula Season 2: Release Date
On New Year’s Day, Dracula first set its foot. It set a sadistic and consistent tone for the series. However, the first season came to an end with only three episodes. This was not satisfying for the fans, and they felt the story had much more to it. The makers and creators of the show might have sensed the pain of their fans.
This is because the creators have decided to come up with Dracula season 2. However, due to the global coronavirus pandemic, there is not any update about the latest season yet. But what we can make out of the interviews and reports is that it is not coming any sooner than 2021. It is, however, going to release on both Netflix and BBC One.
Dracula Season 2: The Cast
Since the first season was such a massive success, nothing much will change in the cast. Claes Bang will return as the sex symbol with fangs and play our favorite Dracula. Dolly Wells might also return as Sister Agatha. Also, we now know that there is a strong resemblance to the family of Van Helsing.
John Heffernan, who plays Jonathan Harker, might not return. However, his visage will continue to lay the foundation for the show. Mark Gatiss also might appear in another cameo role. Rest assured, the cast is going to stay more or less the same. There is not going to be any significant changes.
The Plot Of the Show
The end of season one does not leave a lot of scope for Dracula season 2. However, the finale episode felt a little incomplete to some. This is the reason why the makers are coming up with Dracula season 2. The plot is going to continue with where it left earlier. It is going to revolve around the full Van Helsing family circle.
There were several moments when the story drifted away from the novel. The one moment being Dracula accepting his death as a reward for freedom. This gives a feeling that the creators might as well have to undo all of their works of season 1.
