Hunters Season 2 is one of the most anticipated shows on the audience’s part, but on the critics’ front, we can’t say the same. Hunters show is, without any doubt, the show that created a rift between critics and viewers. It is an American black comedy and period drama created by David Weil. It premiered on February 21, 2020.
‘Hunters’ revolves around real Nazi hunters, living in 1977 in New York City, who discover that Nazi war criminals are planning to start a Fourth Reich in the US. It shows the mythological recovery after the Nazi holocaust. The audience loved the show for it being aggressive and fast-paced because they feel that this show is needed in today’s time. They compare the show’s way of depicting reality like George Orwell’s ‘1984.’
Will there be Hunters Season 2 release?
Even though the audience loved the show for its presentation, the critics differ from them. The show has garnered harsh criticism from different sites and organizations. Director of the USC Shoah Foundation Stephen D. Smith heavily criticized and said that Amazon should not renew the show for season 2. Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum also reprimanded the show for inaccurate description. To these, Creator Weil has explained himself, saying, “It is true that Nazis perpetrated widespread and extreme acts of sadism and torture. I did not want to depict those specific acts of trauma.”
However, Today, Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, confirmed that the series would be renewed for another season. However, any specific release date has not been hinted yet.

The cast of Hunters Season 2
In Hunters Season 2, we are hoping that the cast will be the same as the first one. The actors have gotten praise nonetheless, so it’s justified to see them back in their respective roles.

The Plot
We can expect that the second season will start where Season 1 ended. That means that we will witness discord between Jonah’s hunters and Millie’s task force. Considering Adolf Hitler’s brief cameo in the finale, we can expect to see him more in the second season. Sister Harriet’s suspect loyalty will be brought at the table.
Weil has mapped out five seasons because he wanted to honor his grandmother, who was a holocaust survivor. Executive producer Nikki Toscano also expressed her wishes for the show saying, “Amazon has been supportive of this show. God willing, they’ll give us a second season.”
