Elite Season 4, Netflix renewed Elite for Season 4 after two months of premiering of the third season. Elite is a Spanish teen drama created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona for Netflix. The show is set in Las Encinas, a fictional secondary school. It revolves around teenage students, who are on scholarship, and who are wealthy. While Elite is a cliche teen drama, it also focuses on other progressive concepts like sexuality.
As soon as the topic of the murder of Marina came out in the world, fans loved the drama. According to The Cut article, Elite is the best quarantine show. It has a 7.6 IMDb rating. So, it wasn’t a shock when Netflix renewed the show for the fourth and fifth season in May.
Who will be in the cast of Elite Season 4?
Netflix released new cast additions. In Season 3, many fan-favorite characters graduated Las Encinas. The characters who won’t continue are:
- Ester Expósito(Carla),
- Danna Paola(Lu),
- Álvaro Rico(Polo),
- Mina El Hammani(Nadia) and
- Jorge López(Valerio.)
Expósito told OprahMag, “a cycle is closed.” While this is heartbreaking for OG Elite fans, we can’t wait to see the magic of the new cast. The new cast includes:
- Manu Rios
- Carla Diaz
- Martina Cariddi
- Pol Granch
We don’t know the character names of the new cast, which is suspense for all of us. We don’t know yet if Season 3 debutantes Sergio Momo (Yeray) and Malick (Leïti Sène) will come back in Season 4 or not.
Release Date
The cast is finalized and the show is officially renewed. But, we don’t know whether the filming has begun or not. Netflix took to Twitter to share a video of the new cast in May 2020.
Season 1 came out on October 8, 2018. The second season premiered on September 6, 2019. The third season aired recently on March 13, 2020. About, the fourth season, it’s all very uncertain. Looking at the previous dates, it can come out this fall or early 2021. The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has slowed down the entertainment industry. This delayed the filming severely.
Moreover, the show’s filming location is Spain, where filming resumed in May. So, it is a matter of time when Netflix gives us more updates.
The Plot of Elite Season 4
There is no information about the plot. There are new students who will enter Las Encinas while some old students already there. These include Guzmán, Samuel, Ander, Omar, Rebeca, and Cayetana. It will be interesting to watch what will be the new storyline of Elite Season 4.
