Although the OnePlus Watch’s availability has yet to be announced, pre-order for the upcoming smartwatch have begun in China. The news comes just days before OnePlus’ virtual event, at which the OnePlus Watch will be unveiled alongside the OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. Along with the pre-order, a render allegedly depicting the OnePlus Watch has appeared on Twitter, indicating the smartwatch’s design. The OnePlus Watch is expected to have an IP68-certified design and support for Warp Charge rapid charging.
JD.com, a Chinese online retailer, has listed the OnePlus Watch for pre-order. Customers must pay a deposit of CNY 50 (roughly Rs. 600) to reserve the smartwatch, according to the listing. Customers who pre-order the OnePlus Watch will receive a discount of CNY 100 (roughly Rs. 1,100) on their final purchase. The smartwatch’s precise price will not be revealed until later this year.
The OnePlus Watch will have Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, according to the JD.com listing. Additional details have yet to be disclosed.
Unbox Therapy posted a render of the OnePlus Watch on Twitter. It has a patterned wrist strap that looks to be circular in shape. On the right, there are two separate physical buttons, one of which has the OnePlus logo on it.
The overall design of the OnePlus Watch in the leaked render resembles that of the Oppo Watch RX. It’s worth noting that both OnePlus and Oppo are owned and operated by the same parent company, BBK Electronics, and that their hardware R&D operations were recently merged.
