The political conspiracy thriller “Designated Survivor” is a television series that is a love for everyone. If you are not into these kinds of political drama, then this is the best series to make you fall in love with the genre. Everyone widely loved the series, and it received much-encouraging feedback too both from the critics and the audiences. Due to its popularity, the show’s rights were bought by Netflix after the release of its second season.
But, everyone is hanging with the question that will there be a season four of the thriller? Well, we are here with all the answers you need.
Designated Survivor Season 4: Is the renewal happening?
On 21st September 2016 and continued till 17th May 2017, the debut season of Designated Survivor came out. Season one consisted of 21 episodes that were amazing and were enough to catch everyone’s attention. The second season aired from 27th September 2017, and it continued till 16th May 2018. The second season consisted of 22 episodes.
Unfortunately, there won’t be any other seasons of the series. It was announced in July 2019 by Netflix that there won’t be any fourth season of the series as it stands canceled by the makers. However, we don’t have any official announcement from the makers of the series about the cancellation.
We can easily guess some of the reasons that led to the cancellation of the series. One of the most important was the ending of season 3. It was justified and speculated. Though, we are never sure of anything when it comes to the cancellations.

In the show Designated Survivor we saw Kiefer Sutherland in the lead role playing the role of Tom Kirkman. Other characters include Jamie Clayton as Sasha, Elena Tovar as Isabel, Kal Penn as Seth, and Anthony Edwards as Mars.
Designated Survivor Season 4: Plotline
The storyline of the show revolves around Tom Kirkman, who never thought of becoming a president, but his destiny takes him to his beautiful destination. The president was found dead and most of the cabinet members too, after the explosion in the Capitol Building. Tom Kirkman, who was the Housing and Urban Development Secretary, somehow survived and was given the title of Designated Survivor. And, with it, he becomes the new president of the United States.
