Peaky Blinders season 6: Release Date

Peaky Blinders season 6 has not officially got any fixed release date yet. BBC should declare it soon. Season five of the series came in August 2019. At that time, the show’s director Anthony Byrne suggested at various places that the next series should be out there in early 2021.

At that time, everything including production, shooting, the casting was set to begin from March 2020. It all got ruined after the outbreak of the deadly virus and a complete lockdown around the globe. The shooting did not start just because of all these hindrances and now, after everything is coming back to normal, there is a hope that the shooting will soon begin in the next few months.

Bryne revealed that they are starting to shoot soon and said: “That feels achievable. Whether that’s true or not, I have no idea.  He also added that it could get delayed until 2022.

“If we did start shooting in January [2021] we wouldn’t finish until May or June and then it’s another six months of editing.” He added telling about his schedules and plans.

The finale of season 5 was pretty dramatic and thrilling, Fans loved how it ended with Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) putting the gun pointing to his head. According to Bryne, the next season is going to pick the story from there only.

He told in an interview that “It picks up directly. So, the very first image you will see will be back in that field. Tommy, with a gun to his head. Then, we will move on from there, we resolve that amazing moment – it’s great.”

The audience is also highly expecting to find out who was not loyal to him and betrayed to ruin his plans to kill Mosley. 

If we talk about a trailer, there is not one till now. The release of an official trailer can be anticipated around late 2021 or early 2022 keeping in mind that we don’t have any scene of shooting right now.
