“American Gods” based upon Neil Gaiman’s novel of the same name, is all set to return with its third season. The show is widely famous, and we are here to tell you everything about the upcoming new season of the show.

American God Season 3: When is the release happening?
In 2001, Neil Gaiman’s book with the same name came out focusing on how the Old Gods were falling out of favour with mortals while the New Gods gained traction. Due to this, Mr. Wednesday, a mysterious figure, employs former convict Shadow Moon’s help as he begins to recruit Old Gods for a war. The book focuses heavily on the immigrant story, with those moving to America bringing their mythologies and Gods with them along the way, and this carries over into show, which aired 16 years after the novel was published.
It took nearly two years for the second season and it aired in March 2019, and now finally the third season is coming close. The release date for the third season is set on 10th January 2021.

American Gods Season 3: What about the plotline?
Following the events of the second season, as well as referencing the book, the next arc for the show will focus on Shadow’s time in the secluded town of Lakeside as he comes to terms with who he is. After the revelation of his ancestry, Shadow is trying to distance himself from his godly father; however, Mr. Wednesday still needs him, especially as tensions appear to be ever growing between the Old Gods and New Gods.
