The first season of the anime was aired in October 2015, in Japan. After that, we witnessed a lot of time gap after the release of the first season. The time duration between the first and the second season was quite long, and the second season was released last year in April 2019.

There are currently 22 manga volumes of the show released in Japan in 2020. It also has Chapters 107-138 not yet released in tankobon format. Shueisha publishes the chapter in Tonari no Young Jump magazine.
The show’s manga is still ongoing. The latest volume by author ONE got released on 4th September 2020 in Japan. On total there were three books released in 2019 and only one so far in 2020.
The first season of the show that aired in 2015 adapted volumes 1 to 7. The second season did se manga volumes 8-16. That means manga volume 17 continues after anime, giving us six books to get used in the third season of the show.

It’s safe to say that most anime are pretty expensive to make, and if we are talking about one core series like the show, it could be as much as 3 million dollars per season.
The show was profitable enough to receive the second season, but we don’t yet know about the performance of the second season of the show.

The average sales of the manga per volume are around 10,000 for the first season and 1,300 for the second season. The first season of the show had excellent sales of Blu-Ray while the second season did bomb with more than 80% drop.

The sales of the latest manga volume 22 are around 400,000 copies. Volume 21 sold approximately 600,000 copies. Though, the manga didn’t rank in the top 10 best selling manga series in Japan for 2019.
The number of merchandise and figures is excellent as well. The second season of the show was about 30-40% less popular than its first season. Still, it has a massive fanbase that can rival other series like My Hero Academia or Attack on Titan.
