Even though the entire entertainment industry is slackening, the makers of Captain Marvel 2 did not back down in making a promise with us. A few weeks ago, an announcement mentioned that Captain Marvel 2 would hit the silver screens on July 8, 2022. This makes us believe that the writers and makers are currently at work.
What will be the plot of Captain Marvel 2?
It’s reported that Captain Marvel 2 will take place in the ‘present time’, and if Avengers: Endgame is taken into account, that means it’s set in 2023. According to MCU Cosmic, Captain Marvel will emerge as the de facto leader of the Avengers, after this sequel. Larson had previously stated that she would love to see Kamala Khan in the sequel. Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American girl from New Jersey who takes after her idol, Carol, after gaining her superpowers. The plot will be interesting if this version is constructed in the movie.
In Endgame, Captain Marvel’s role wasn’t prominent, to which The Russo brothers said that it was the story of the original six. We are speculating that the makers were already thinking about CM2, and that is why they did not give a significant share to Larson, so as not to give away any spoilers.
A Captain Marvel prologue can mean that Kree/Skull discord will be a highlight of the movie. According to MCU reports, Ms. Marvel and other prominent characters will be seen in this movie, which can mean that this movie adopts the Secret Invasion Comic book storyline. Hence, this means that Carol Danvers will come back to Earth to save the planet from the Skrull invasion.
