Shameless Season 11 will be an enticing journey of closure and growth. Yes, you read the word ‘closure’ right. The longest-running original scripted series in Showtime history will bid farewell after Season 11. If you have been a regular viewer of the show, you have my respects. Shameless hit the screens in 2011, hooking the viewers with its fascinating and unique family. It is a fiercely engaging and fearlessly twisted series.
Frank Gallagher is a proud single dad of six smart and independent kids, who without him would be better off. The kids have created a life for themselves nonetheless. Yes, this family is all over the place, but they don’t apologize for who they are.
Back in January 2020, Showtime renewed the final season of Shameless. The filming could have started in March 2020, but fate had other plans. Amidst the ongoing pandemic, the filming has not yet begun. It will have twelve episodes. Our best guess is that the new season will come out in 2021. Fingers crossed!
What can be the plot?
Season 11 is expected to pick up where it left the last season. Newlywed Ian and Mickey will have their differences with his father, Terry Milkovich. However, because it will be the final season, we can expect that their differences will get sorted. The upcoming season is also likely to show the development of the characters, Debbie and Lip.
The Cast of Shameless Season 11
There a lot of strings left unattached in Season 10, so we cannot expect any new characters to induce any further drama. Considering this will be the last season, the cast will be the same as the previous season. However, if they are unable to solve their problems, we won’t mind an introduction of a godmother or godfather.
The characters will be:
William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher
Shanola Hampton as Veronica
Cameron Monaghan as Ian Gallagher
Emma Kenney as Debbie Gallagher
Jeremy Allen White as Lip Gallagher
Noel Fisher as Mickey Milkovich
Steve Howey as Kevin
Ethan Cutkosky as Carl Gallagher
Shameless has proved to be one of the best well-written and well-executed shows. The characters’ growth is something that makes the audience feel even closer to the show. Season 11 will be a sweet farewell, and it will be engrossing to see how the writers give each character his/her perfect ending. There comes an end to everything, and this underrated show’s finale will leave moist eyes everywhere.
