Euphoria Season 2 was picked by HBO before the ending of Season 1. Euphoria is an American teen drama, but it is not your average drama. In this show, a group of high school students is shown and how they deal with drugs, sex, social media, and violence. Its an adaptation of the Israeli series of the same name. Euphoria stands out because it shows the brutal honesty in an empathetic and visually aesthetic manner.
Release Date of Euphoria Season 2
Season 1 came out in summer 2019, and if things were normal in 2020, a new season would be on our screens in summer 2020. But, 2020 is anything but ordinary, especially the entertainment industry.
The production was all set with the cast, the story, and the screen tests in March 2020. However, four days before starting, quarantine happened, and since then, no announcements have been made either by HBO or the creators. If they start filming now, then hopefully we can have a new season by early 2021, but do not get too hopeful.
The Cast of Euphoria Season 2
Ask anybody who loved Season 1 if they want even one actor to be changed, and the answer will be NO! So, the cast will include:
Zendaya as Rue Bennett
Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn
Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs
Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard
Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs
Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard, among others.
At a casting call in January, the search for three new characters came out: a “scrappy fighter”, a “sensitive outsider”, and a drug-addicted sex worker.
What will be the twisty plot?
It is commendable that they did not let the plot of the show leak, even any minute detail. So, we have our judgment to go back to, to attach the dots. Rue is undoubtedly alive. However, she is very intoxicated. Euphoria Season 2 will have an even personal depiction of Rue’s relapse and treatment. Jacobs’s family was on the brink of a scandal, so Season 2 will show where it leads them. A lot of bad decisions will be made, be it by Kat or Fezco. The cryptic finale left a lot of questions unanswered. That is what makes the wait for Euphoria Season 2 more intriguing.
But, it will be better than the last season in every aspect.
Sydney Sweeney told ET, “You won’t be able to guess what’s coming… I couldn’t even guess it. … I mean, everything with life as a teenager is shocking, so you never know what to expect.”
