Wonder Woman 1984: When is the release happening?
The release of the movie faced lots of delays and obstacles. The previous release date was set on 2nd October 2020. That was the third release date of the movie due to the scheduling problems and then the ongoing corona virus crisis.
But now the release date of the movie has been scheduled on 25th December. Yes, we will be getting a Christmas release. With no definitive end to the pandemic in sight, there’s been a lot of speculation in the weeks since as to what the studio’s strategy would be.
Wonder Woman 1984: Who all are in for the cast?
The central cast of the movie includes:
- Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman
- Pedro Pascal as Max Lord
- Kristen Wiig as Cheetah
- Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta
- Chris Pine as Steve Trevor
- Robin Wright as Antiope
In the trailer of Wonder Woman 1984, Steve Trevor hardly looks a day older than he did in the Great War, and; interestingly that’s before 60 years before the setting of the sequel. However, Steve will be a very different character this time.
Wonder Woman 1984: What about the plotline?
The trailer of the movie was released by DC FanDome recently and features the first true look of Barbara’s final form as the villainous Cheetah. The trailer opens with the pair sharing drinks as friends, but given their comics history, we know that friendship is not going to last long.
The movie will pick up with Gadot’s Diana decades after her first solo adventure. By this point, Diana is living a more solitary life in Washington DC, though things are soon disrupted by the emergence of new threats in the forms of shady businessman Maxwell Lord and friend-turned-rival Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig).
There is also an expectation between the fans for seeing a relationship between Prince and Minerva as it was confirmed a few years ago that Wonder Woman is canonically bisexual.
