In “The Prettiest Boy in School ” episode, Adam, now a sophomore, returns to William Penn Academy as he wrestles with the reality that he is a cool guy and no longer a nerd while his initial peer circle isn’t as fortunate. Meanwhile, Beverly tries to have a more grown-up friendship with Erica and Barry before they go back to college.
