Season 1 was a more detective track story, taking us along the introduction of the characters. Whereas, Season 2 went deep into other worlds filled with aliens and other supernatural entities. It left us wondering with its frantic ending. This naturally means that Altered Carbon Season 3 will be a concoction of the history of the characters and the building of new plots. The progressing nature of the show is something that makes it attractive for the audience.

As of now, there are no preparations or announcements made for Season 3, so we can conjecture that Altered Carbon Season 3 will not air anywhere before 2022. This makes sense in this show’s case because the second season came after two years. Typically, Netflix waits for one month to assess the charts’ performance, which has passed way ago, but maybe due to the pandemic, the production has decided to take it slow. WILL THERE BE A NEW TAKESHI KAVOCS IN ALTERED CARBON SEASON 3?
The showrunner, Alison Schapker, told The Hollywood Reporter that the plans involved different Takeshi Kavocs’ to cover various aspects, so it’ll be riveting to see whether Anthony Mackie will be back. Mackie previously expressed that this was the role where he felt extremely comfortable and contented. Will Yun Lee can be expected to play the role of Kavocs Prime.
WHAT CAN BE THE PLOT OF SEASON 3?
The elders and their technology tower made a prominent presence, but there isn’t much about them that the audience knows. Thus, you can expect the Elders. Quell’s version of Kovacs has changed from Season 1 to 2, and the explanation to those visions is still pending. Poe’s feud and coming back and possibly finding a human DHF leaves various questions unanswered.
Overall, Netflix’s Altered Carbon is a beautiful rendition of the novel trilogy by Richard K. Morgan. Though some elements of book three touched upon in Season 2, the show makers have succeeded in keeping the ending vague and intriguing, leaving room for speculation for its future.
