Overlord animes follows a Japanese light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. Like High School DxD anime, it also comes from the light novel series. The show has die-hard fans who are waiting for its return to the streaming platforms and TV channels. As for the novel, there 14 parts out there but, the author will continue to write there is further demand for it. But, he won’t continue after the 17th volume. The anime television series adaptation by Madhouse of the novel is quite amazing. It consists of around a total of 3 seasons with each season having 13 episodes each. So, we think that if there is Overlord Season 4, it will follow the same structure.
The first season of Overlord started airing from July 7 to September 29, 2015. It instantly gathered a lot of popularity and people went crazy after it. Thereafter, fans started craving for more and the next season of the show started airing January 9 to April 3, 2018, with the third season premiering later the same year on July 10, 2018. The last episode aired on October 2, 2018, and this was the most recent episode.

If there is no Overlord Season 4, we will never learn if Ainz will manage to conquer Yggdrasil’s whole world or if someone strong enough will show up to stop him. For the viewers of the series, this is a very important question. We will have to wait for the show makers to release an update on the release of the show. The show probably won’t come out in the year 2020.
Overlord season 4 didn’t get officially announced yet in the current year, and we don’t know if there are chances that another season of Overlord will come. The author of the light novel series released the recent novel part on 12th March 2020. So, there is enough source material for the show makers to implement it into the anime series. There is a possibility that we might see the fourth season soon but, not so soon.
Recently, Noragami Season 3 was canceled by the show makers because there was a huge drop in between the second and third seasons. Therefore, it is not possible with this show anymore. This is because the season sequels made good sales and therefore are still relevant. It would not be feasible for show makers to cancel the show.
