Twitter has suspended Donald Trump’s campaign account on Thursday, 15th October 2020. His account faced suspension for attempting to tweet a video which calls Joe Biden a liar. And it also cites leaked emails. The emails show high-dollar negotiations between his son Hunter Biden and influential companies.
The Trump campaign’s Twitter account, which is @TeamTrump, was trying to tweet a video to its 2.2 million followers on Wednesday, 14th October 2020. The caption read that the former vice-president, Joe Biden is a liar who has been ripping off the country for years.
Earlier on Wednesday, 14th October 2020 Twitter also blocked users from tweeting out the link to the New York Post about the story that reveals Hunter Biden’s emails.
There are also emails from 2017. In the email, Biden discusses a deal with the former chairman of Chinese energy company CEFC China Energy, Ye Jianming. The email also says that Ye agreed to improve the terms of Biden’s three-year consulting contract with CEFC. The contract initially promised Biden 10 million dollars per-year for introductions alone.
Twitter later acknowledged that the House Judiciary Committee website’s link was censored by error. And the decision has been reversed and the link is also unblocked now.
