The 2019 American cyberpunk-action film “Alita: Battle Angel” is coming back with its powerful sequel. Based upon the Japanese Manga series “Gunnm” the movie is directed by James Cameron who has given many successful movies to the box office including Avatar and Titanic. Originally the manga series was created by Yukito Kishiro in the 1990s and it is highly popular all over in Japan. The AMC Film is most loved by all its fans and critics as well.

Obviously, it is cheer news for all the Japanese Manga enthusiastic and we are here with every detail you need to know about this upcoming fantastic sequel. So let’s take a dive in and have a quick look at everything we have gathered up for you.

Alita: Battle Angel 2: Who all are in for the cast?

For now, there have been no revelations about the cast for the sequel. But we are expecting the following characters to again show up on the screen:

  • Jennifer Connelly as Dr. Chiren, a masterful cyborg-engineer.
  • Keenan Johnson as Hugo, Alita’s love-interest and a morally conflicted scrap-dealer
  • Rosa Salazar as Alita, a revived female cyborg suffering from amnesia.
  • Lana Condor as Koyomi, a teenager who is friends with Hugo and Tanji.
  • Ed Skrein as Zapan, an arrogant sword-wielding bounty-hunting cyborg
  • Jackie Earle Haley as Grewishka, a huge criminal cyborg.
  • Christopher Waltz as Dr. Dyson Ido, a renowned cyborg-scientist.
  • Mahershala Ali as Vector, an influential entrepreneur.

The movie made its debut on 31st January 2019, at the Leicester Square Theatre in London. Thereafter, the film was released by 20th Century Fox in the United States on 14th February 2019 in standard, 3D, Dolby Cinemas.

On 6th February 2019, it was announced by James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez that they have plans for the sequel of the sci-fi thriller movie. They said that they are in the talks with Disney on whether to give it a try or not. For now, nothing has been announced officially.

But, as the fans are demanding the sequel for the movie from worldwide there are strong chances that the sequel might show up. We can expect that by the end of this year the building process would be completed. Summing up we can get to see the movie in the year 2021 or 2022.

Alita: Battle Angel 2: What will be the plotline?

We saw in the first part of the movie that Alita had the soul of a dead teenager inside her. We saw how DR. Ido revives her and she is introduced to Motorboat racing and then she begins to master it. It was also shown that how Alita becomes a hunter warrior and deafest the cyborg in Iron City. The chemistry between Alita and Hugo was also loved by all of us. The ending of the movie was not satisfactory for many of us because the majority of things about Alita were not revealed out.

Therefore, in the second part, we might get to see many unseen sides of Alita and her hidden mysteries. Well, no one knows for now.
